Welcome to Your Naples Update
As we settle into October, Naples is buzzing with activity and important community updates. Today's digest covers local government news, upcoming charity events, and seasonal reminders to help you plan your perfect stay in North Naples.
Collier County Government Updates
Collier County officials are currently focusing on the upcoming November 2026 General Election. A key item on the ballot is a proposed one percent increase to the Tourist Development Tax (TDT) on short-term rental accommodations. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed on this measure, as it directly impacts the local hospitality landscape. For more details on county operations, you can always visit the official Collier County news portal.
Upcoming Community Events
October is a busy month for local philanthropy and seasonal fun. If you are visiting later this month, consider attending the Bingo for Bags & Baubles event on October 22 at the Vineyards Country Club, which benefits the Parkinson’s Association of Southwest Florida. Additionally, golf enthusiasts can participate in the 8th Annual Feeding Dreams Golf Tournament on October 29 at TPC Treviso Bay. For families, The Perry Hotel Naples is hosting a "Big Top Halloween" celebration on October 31, perfect for those traveling with children.
